State Senator Dan Zumbach is preparing for his seventh year in the Iowa Legislature.
The Republican farmer from Ryan is heading back to Des Moines for the start of the session on Monday – taking his constituents’ feedback with him.
Zumbach foresees a focus on funding for schools and mental health this session.
And Zumbach will once again take on the role as chairman of the Senate Ag Committee.
Zumbach’s leadership on the Ag Committee gave him the opportunity to go to Washington D.C. before Christmas for the signing of the Farm Bill.
You can stay up to date with what’s going on during the legislative session every Friday here on KMCH as we visit with our area legislators.
