The West Delaware wrestling team remains unbeaten in WaMaC conference duals as they swept a double header with Central DeWitt 72-6 and Center Point-Urbana 57-15. In the win against Central DeWitt the Hawks gave up only one take-down and won 13 of the 14 matches while picking up nine falls as the Hawks were aggressive as seven of those falls came in the first period, one thing West Delaware head coach Jeff Voss says the team has been focusing on these last few weeks:
In the victory over Center Point-Urbana the Hawks won 11 matches and added six more falls as they move to 13-2 overall and 7-0 in the WaMaC as they get set to head to the Perry Invitational tomorrow, a new tournament for the Hawks as they have spent many years on this weekend wrestling at the Cedar Rapids Jefferson Invitational:
Coverage of the Perry Invitational can be heard starting at 9:30 on KMCH.com until the semifinal and final round which can be heard on Mix 94.7 with Jamie Vaske and Zach McCool.
