Manchester Snow Emergency in Effect Tonight

The City of Manchester is reminding residents to follow the Snow Emergency that goes into effect tonight through Wednesday morning.

Vehicles should park on the even side of the street from 10 pm through 7 am. Street Superintendent Jason Haight says it always takes a time or two for people to remember how the Snow Emergency works. He says the first snowstorm of the season went pretty well last weekend, with just a few vehicles ticketed.

As snowplows and crews are out working around Manchester, there is one thing he’s asking drivers to keep in mind.

And with the mild winter we’ve had so far, the City’s sand and salt supplies are holding up pretty good.

Snow Emergencies are also in effect tonight for several other area towns, including Dyersville, Earlville and Monticello. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning through Wednesday morning for all counties in the KMCH listening area, with 3 to 6 inches of snow predicted and some isolated higher amounts possible.
