Three people have been arrested for shoplifting at the Manchester Walmart earlier this week.
Manchester Police say on Monday, they received a phone call from Walmart reporting possible shoplifters. When officers arrived, the store’s management told them three people had tried to leave the store without paying for items they had concealed in a large box. Police Chief Jim Hauschild tells KMCH they took a kids’ wagon out of its box and filled the box with electronics and a pair of shoes.
Police arrested 31-year old Hector Lavoz, 21-year old Debonayr Palmer and 19-year old McKenna Brockmeyer, all of Cedar Rapids.
All three faces charges of Second Degree Theft, with Lavoz also charged with driving with a denied, suspended or revoked license.
