HS Wrestling: West Delaware, Independence Clash For Regular Season Finale

The West Delaware and Independence wrestling teams’ will conclude the regular season tonight when they meet inside the Seedorff Gymnasium for the “Battle of the Del/Buc” trophy. The Mustangs come into the dual with an 16-11 dual meet record and are 6-2 in the WaMaC and had won six straight meetings against the Hawks until West Delaware’s 67-7 win last season. West Delaware head coach Jeff Voss says the atmosphere when the two schools get together is one of the best he sees all season:

The Hawks enter with a 15-2 dual meet record and 9-0 in the WaMaC and claimed their 20th conference dual title, and even though they appear to be favored in tonight’s dual Voss has seen plenty of strange outcomes in the series and knows his team will have to prepared:

It will be a busy night as it is senior night as well as mini wrestling recognition and Voss says it will be a good night to pack the gym and recognize the seniors and mini wrestlers:
