The Dyersville Chamber has named The Woodland Eye Clinic their “Business of the Year”.
Owner Dr. Joshua Woodland says he’s completely humbled by the honor.
Five years ago, The Woodland Eye Clinic came to Dyersville – and then merged with Dr. Paul Ahern’s practice in 2016 when he retired. Dr. Woodland says being part of the Dyersville community has been a wonderful experience.
When The Woodland Eye Clinic was presented with the Chamber’s “Business of the Year” award on Thursday night, they were recognized for giving back to the community – they’ve provided screenings for school kids, given free eyecare to veterans and have discounted or written off 30-thousand dollars in exams/eyewear to low-income families.
The Woodland Eye Clinic also has intern doctors on a three-month rotation, helping to develop the future of optometry.
