Fire Damages Vacant Farley Building

A fire broke out at a vacant building in Farley on Monday night.

The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to 103 1st Avenue East for a reported structure fire shortly after 9 pm. The fire was in a vacant brick building, owned by Jason Delaney of Peosta.

The Farley Fire Department extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.

The building sustained about 25-thousand dollars in damage.

The cause of the fire is suspected to be a waste oil furnace inside the building.
