The Manchester City Council will hold two public hearings tonight.
The first public hearing is on a request by Jim Schaul to rezone 1228 North 2nd Street from R1-70 (Single Family Low Density) to R-2 (Two Family Low Density) for the purpose of allowing the construction of a duplex on the property.
The second public hearing will be on a request by the City of Manchester to rezone 501 Grant Street from R1-80 (Single Family Low Density) to R4 (Multi Family Residential Medium Density) for the purpose of allowing the construction of multi-family dwelling units on the property.
The Manchester City Council will also consider approving the final plat for the Good Neighbor Subdivision Plat 2. They’ll also consider authorizing the loaning of funds from the Franchise Fee Fund to the Hotel Motel Tax Fund for the payment of 100-thousand dollars for an economic development project.
Tonight’s Manchester City Council meeting starts at 5 pm.
Other area meetings today include the Delaware County Board of Supervisors at 1:15 pm, the West Delaware School Board at 6 pm, the Ed-Co School Board at 6 pm, the Cascade City Council at 6 pm and the Dyersville City Council’s budget work session at 7 pm.
Tonight, the West Delaware School Board will hold a public hearing on the 2019-2020 school calendar – they’ll also discuss school make-up days for the current school year. And the Ed-Co School Board is holding a public hearing on HVAC and electrical improvements.
