Bond for Mullis Set at $5 Million Cash

Bond has been set for an Earlville man accused of murdering his wife.

42-year old Todd Mullis is charged with First Degree Murder in the death of 39-year old Amy Mullis. Amy Mullis was found injured on their farm northwest of Earlville on November 10th, with multiple stab wounds to her back from a corn rake. She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Todd made the 911 call and had reported Amy’s death was unattended. However, the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide.

Following an investigation, Mullis was served an arrest warrant on Thursday and taken into custody without incident. He is being held in the Delaware County Jail.

Delaware County Sheriff John LeClere says Mullis’ bond has been set at $5,000,000 cash.
