Man Arrested in Winthrop for Failing to Register as Sex Offender

An Osage man was arrested in Winthrop over the weekend for failing to register a sex offender.

The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year old Tyler Uhlenhopp was taken into custody in the 3000 block of 220th Street east of Winthrop.

Uhlenhopp was charged with four counts of second or subsequent offense of Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry, which is a felony.

He was also arrested on three active arrest warrants out of Mitchell, Franklin and Polk counties for failing to comply with the sex offender registry, violating his probation and contempt of court.
