The Manchester Chamber will host its 38th Annual Ag Luncheon later this month.
The event is planned for Thursday, March 21st at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Manchester, with Dr. David Kohl returning as this year’s speaker.
Dr. Kohl is a professor of Agricultural Finance and Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship at Virginia Tech. Due to requests, he is invited as the Chamber Ag Luncheon’s keynote speaker every other year.
The day will start at 10 am with coffee and a seminar by Dr. Kohl on “Agriculture: the Road Ahead”, bringing insight into the ag economy, the current economic transition and what managers can do to be proactive, as well as what he sees as trends nationally and globally.
Lunch will start around 11:30, with the keynote presentation at noon. The keynote will feature the main address by Dr. Kohl on “The Top 10 Reasons to be Optimistic about Agriculture Today”. The Chamber will also present their Friend of Ag Award and Delaware County Soil and Water Conservation will present several conservation awards.
