Four people have been arrested for robbing the Walmart in Independence.
Independence Police say it happened earlier this year on January 21st. In a press release issued Tuesday, they say four females entered the store in a scheme to steal merchandise – and when they left the store, one of them pepper-sprayed an employee as another tried pushing a shopping cart filled with merchandise out of the store.
Police say all four females have been identified – they are 18-year old Jasmine Donald, 19-year old Kaila Johnson, 18-year old Naviea Steele and an unnamed juvenile. Donald, Johnson and Steele are in custody at the Buchanan County Jail on 10-thousand dollars bond for Second Degree Robbery.
The driver of the getaway car was 27-year old Jalissa Simmons. A warrant is out for her arrest.
