Today is National Vietnam War Veterans Day.
President Trump signed the Vietnam War Veterans Recognition Act in law two years ago, designating every March 29th as National Vietnam War Veterans Day. This year – for the first time – Manchester American Legion Post #45 will be hosting an open house to celebrate the day.
That’s Post Historian Harold Blatt. Post Commander Larry Tibbott says it’s estimated that today there are nearly six-and-a-half million Vietnam veterans still living, as well as nine million families of those who served during that time.
Once again, tonight’s open house runs from 5 to 7 pm at the Manchester Legion – everyone is welcome.
