The Delaware County Master Gardeners have wrapped up their “Mondays in March” series for 2019.
Over 50 people attended the final presentation on last Monday night on “Windbreaks and Trees for Conservation”, presented by NRCS State Technician Ken Klein and Pheasants Forever Farm Bill Biologist Chris Hiher. They highlighted placement and selection of shrub and tree species for windbreaks.
This year, nearly 300 people attended the four sessions. And they all had a chance to win door prizes donated by local businesses and individuals, with nearly everyone who attended last Monday night leaving with a gift.
The Master Gardeners host “Mondays in March” each year. And be sure to mark your calendars for their upcoming Plant Sale on Saturday, May 11th – it will begin at 9 am at the Quonset Building at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
