City of Manchester Preparing for Summer Rec Programs

Summer is around the corner – and the City of Manchester is preparing for pool season and its other summer rec programs.

City Parks and Rec Director Doug Foley says the Manchester Aquatic Center is tentatively set to open Memorial Day weekend.

And pool season means swim lessons. Foley says group swim lessons have changed slightly.

The City will start taking registrations for group swim lessons on Wednesday, April 17th from 6 to 8 pm at Manchester City Hall. Private swim lesson registration will be held on Wednesday, May 8th from 6 to 8 pm at City Hall. And the City is offering a new swim program this year –adaptive aquatic swim.

And swimming isn’t the only summer activity out there – there’s Pee Wee Soccer, Broadway Kids, Youth Tennis and Kids n’ Critters Camp, just to name a few! You can sign up for any of those Manchester City summer rec programs right now online – just go to manchester-ia.org.
