A new scam is going around… Manchester Police say someone is calling people pretending to be them.
Someone is using the Manchester Police Department’s phone number to contact people (they’re ghosting the number 927-3355). The scammer tells you he has your bank information and social security information. He claims you’ve committed a crime and threatens that you’ll be arrested if you do not do as asked.
Chief Jim Hauschild says this is a scam – if someone calls you from 927-3355 pretending to be the Manchester Police, do not give them any information or send them any money.
