Do you have anything around the house or office that’s broken and needs to be fixed?
The Dyersville Chamber is hosting a “Fix It Day” today from 4 to 7 pm at Stone Creek Plaza in the former Imperial Stone building. You’re invited to bring in any broken household or office items and one of several volunteers will take a look and try to repair them. Handymen Ralph Weber, Dick Boeckenstedt, Jim Hense, Sean Held and Tony Zurcher are volunteering their time to the cause.
This is a free service – however, if there is a replacement part needed, you’ll have to pay that cost.
This is the third year for “Fix It Day”. The Dyersville Chamber has partnered with the Dubuque Metropolitan Solid Waste Agency to host the event in an effort to keep items out of the landfill.
