One of Manchester’s biggest community events is coming up in just a couple of weeks.
Rhubarb on the River returns on Saturday, June 1st – it’s a one-day festival with vendors, food and music for people of all ages in downtown Manchester along the Whitewater Park.
The event will kick off at 8 am with the Rhubarb Run and vendors in the street, as well as the regular Farmers Market. There’s also a 35-mile bike ride and kids’ activities, as well as live music, with Keepin’ It Country playing in the gazebo from 10 to 1 and the Not Quite Brothers band taking stage in the afternoon to finish up the day.
Vendors will be lined up on South Franklin Street from 8 to 1 – with crafters, local businesses and organizations selling products and food, as well as providing informational or education material.
Rhubarb treats such as pies, breads, bars and jams will also be sold at the event.
Any interested in being a vendor or baking rhubarb items should contact the Manchester Chamber at 927-4141.
The event is open to the public and free to attend.
