In our area coverage game last night, Monticello jumped out to a 3-0 lead over West Branch before the Bears scored 9 runs in the 2nd inning. The Panthers came back with 5 runs in the 4th and had the tying run on third base when senior Jon Mootz lined out in the 7th to end the game. The Panthers fell to 2-5 while the Bears improved to 4-1.

Tonight the West Delaware Hawks will return to play at home when they host WaMaC cross divison opponent South Tama with a varsity doubleheader starting at 6pm. It’s also the Hawks annual cancer awareness night where they hold a silent auction to raise funds to fight cancer.
