Hawks Take Two From South Tama; Klosterman Near-Perfect

The West Delaware Hawks Softball team improved their record to 10-2 with a doubleheader sweep of South Tama at home last night. The Hawks won game 1 12-0 in 4 innings by scoring 4 runs in the 1st and 8 in the 4th. Senior pitcher Emily Klostermann was spectacular in both games. In the first contest, she had 10 strikeouts and allowed 1 hit. Teyha Demmer led the Hawks with 2 hits.

In game 2, the Hawks were victorious 12-0 in 3 innings.  Klostermann struck out 7 and had a no-hitter1 and was 1 walk away from a perfect game. The game was ended by a Heather Heims 3-run homer.

The 4-4 West Delaware Baseball team will host South Tama tonight in a WaMaC varsity dh starting at 5pm. The second game will be live on KMCH and KMCH.COM with Bill Logan.
