Plugged-In Iowa is hosting an open house at their Manchester location on Friday.
Regional Director Nicole McGreevy, a Manchester native, says despite serving the Manchester community since 2015, some people don’t know what Plugged-In Iowa does – or that’s it even here.
McGreevy says what really sets Plugged-In Iowa apart from other mental health organizations is that all of their services are peer-based. Their employees, Peer Recovery Specialists, are in their own recovery from some form of difficulty of their own.
She says Plugged-In Iowa offers Peer Recovery Zones, or PRZs, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11 to 3 at the Delaware County Community Services Building in Manchester.
The public got a chance to learn more about Plugged-In Iowa during an open house today from 11 to 3, with raffles and refreshments. If you’d like more information about them, check out Peer Recovery Zone-Manchester on Facebook.
