The Field of Dreams will be celebrating 30 years this weekend.
The baseball film starring Kevin Costner hit theaters in 1989 – and three decades later, it still draws people to the movie site in Dyersville.
That’s Roman Weinberg, Operations Manager for the Field of Dreams Movie Site. He says they’ll be celebrating the 30th anniversary with festivities all day long this Saturday.
As he mentioned, there will be a baseball game under the lights on Saturday night featuring celebrities with Iowa roots, including former Hawkeyes Tim Dwight and Dallas Clark.
And Dwier Brown, the actor who played Kevin Costner’s dad in the movie, is also returning for the 30th anniversary celebration.
The Field of Dreams’ 30th anniversary celebration will wrap up with the movie shown in the outfield after the game. Tickets for the event are ten dollars, with kids 14 and under free – you can buy them online at fieldofdreamsmoviesite.com.
