Two people were injured during a vehicle pursuit on Sunday afternoon.
The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says they assisted Dubuque Police with the pursuit, which started in the area of 27th Street and Jackson Street in Dubuque shortly after 2:30 pm. During the chase, the driver, 30-year old Dekota Redenbaugh, struck a vehicle driven by 56-year old Rebecca Ostert. Ostert was transported to Mercy Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The chase continued through Dubuque before crossing the bridge into Wisconsin. It came to an end in Jo Daviees County, Illinois after Redenbaugh lost control of his vehicle and collided with a power line. He was transported to Mercy Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and released.
Redenbaugh was then arrested and charged with numerous citations, including eluding, driving under a suspended license, possessing a controlled substance and operating while intoxicated, as well as numerous traffic violations. He was also arrested on an outstanding warrant charging him with voluntary absence from a correctional facility.
