Honor Flight Donation Made in Manchester Man’s Memory

The family of a Manchester man has made a donation to the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight.

Donald Grimm was one of the veterans on the Honor Flight last October, traveling with around one hundred fellow veterans on a one-day trip to Washington D.C. to see the memorials built in their honor. His son, Doug, accompanied him on his trip.

Grimm passed away in April and it was his desire to pay it forward to other veterans by helping continue the Honor Flight’s mission.

His family – Linda, Mike and Doug – recently presented a four-thousand dollar check to Eastern Iowa Honor Flight board members.

The Honor Flight plans to make two more trips this fall.
