An Ed-Co student is organizing an Emergency Services Camp to give other kids a chance to see what a career is like in those fields.
Kirsten Payne says the Emergency Services Camp was created as part of a school project.
And Payne herself has a background in Emergency Services. She was inspired by her dad to become a member of the Colesburg Fire Department.
The Emergency Services Camp will be held Wednesday, July 31st from 9 to 4 at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Manchester. It’s open to kids ages 11 to 18 and parents are welcome to attend. Delaware County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Ryan says it’s an event they’re proud to partner with.
The cost to sign up is twenty dollars, which includes a shirt, lunch and snacks. Registration is requested by tomorrow – registration forms are available at Manchester City Hall or on the Delaware County Emergency Services Camp Facebook page.
