Two Escape Injury after Fayette County SUV Fire

Two people escaped injury after their vehicle started on fire on a Fayette County road Monday afternoon.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to a SUV on fire near the 24,000 block of Juniper Road near West Union. The officer on scene immediately ordered the two people out of the vehicle and helped them to a safe location.

Neither the driver, 18-year old Dalyn Wurzer of West Union, nor her passenger, were hurt.

The West Union Fire Department says the fire was caused by an oil leak.
