Delaware County Fair’s 4-H/FFA Livestock Sale Totals Over $252,000

The beef sale included 101 animals that were sold for a total of $203,884 with an average sale price of $2018.66 and $1.51 per pound. The Grand Champion Market Beef was exhibited by Randy Thompsen.

Sixty-nine hogs were sold in the swine auction for a total of $39,587.85 with an average price of $2.10 per pound. The average price paid per hog was approximately $589.32. The Grand Champion Market Barrow was exhibited by Bianka Ronnebaum and the Grand Champion Market Gilt was exhibited by Mason Kruse. The Grand Champion Derby Barrow was exhibited by Lucy Loecke and the Grand Champion Derby Gilt was exhibited by Nathan Beitz. The Grand Champion Breeding Gilt was exhibited by Lauren LeClere.

In the sheep division, 16 sheep were sold by 4-H and FFA youth for a total of $5599.10 with an average price of $2.68 per pound. The average price per animal was $349.94. The Grand Champion Market Lamb was exhibited by Lanae LeClere.

A total of 12 goats were sold for a total $3,682. The average price per animal was $306.83 with an average price per pound of $4.31. The Grand Champion Meat Goat was exhibited by Mason Kruse.
