Public Hearing on New Swine Confinement Near Sand Springs

The Delaware County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing on a new swine confinement building Monday afternoon.

C & R Swine, LLC (Chad and Renee Adams) would like to build a new 2,400 head deep-pit swine confinement building at their site southwest of Sand Springs in Section 33 of South Fork Township. It would be an expansion to their existing swine confinement facility, bringing the total number of swine finishers to 4,800.

The County Board of Supervisors says they had a good visit to the site, with no issues. They say no public comments were received about the proposed project.

The County plans to send a letter supporting the construction permit application to the DNR.
