Manchester will be the site of an upcoming Future Ready Iowa event.
Governor Kim Reynolds announced this week twenty-seven collaborative public-private partnership events to help Iowa build a skilled workforce for the future. The Future Ready Iowa Employer Summits will be taking place across the state this fall.
Manchester’s Future Ready Iowa event will be held October 11th.
The event will feature presentations about hiring and retraining practices, collaborating with community partners and upskilling current employees. Iowa Workforce Development is partnering with the Iowa Association of Business and Industry and the Iowa Business Council to host the event.
Iowa Workforce Development Director Beth Townsend says employer support and participation is absolutely essential to the success of Future Ready Iowa and ensuring they meet their goal of 70-percent of Iowans with post-secondary training or education by 2025.
Employers, local business members and educators are encouraged to attend the free event. Registration is available online at FutureReadyIowa.gov.
