A Pollinator Habitat Field Tour will be taking place north of Manchester on Wednesday morning.
USDA is hosting the tour along with several other organizations. Chris Hiher says any local residents interested in helping bees, butterflies and other pollinators thrive are welcome to go on the tour.
Hiher says you don’t need a lot of room to start a pollinator habitat – they can be anywhere whether you live in town or out in the country.
Wednesday’s Pollinator Habitat Field Tour will give you the chance to learn more.
You’ll also learn about installing and maintaining pollinator habitats, as well as financial and technical assistance that’s available to help you get started.
RSVPs are recommended, but not required – to RSVP, contact Chris at 563-929-0375.
