Greeley Man To Plead Guilty In Homemade Cannon Death

A Greeley man is pleading guilty to firing a cannon that killed a woman.  31 year old Max Fenton was charges with involuntary manslaughter after he set off a replica Civil War cannon that was made from a sawed off barrel of a rifle in July of 2016. A piece of the cannon struck and killed 55 year old Lori Heims of Edgewood.

A judge will decide whether to accept Fenton’s guilty plea at a court hearing on October 29.
