“LEGION Act” Means More Members For Manchester American Legion

The Manchester American Legion is happily welcoming more members to its organization – thanks to a newly-signed bill.

The LEGION Act was signed into law by President Trump on July 30th – opening the door for around six million veterans who previously were not allowed to join the Legion.

That’s Larry Tibbott, Commander of American Legion Post 45 in Manchester.

Commander Tibbott says they’ve already had several new members join because of the new law.

Any veterans interested in joining the Manchester Legion can stop by the Legion Post to pick up an application.

Tibbott says the new LEGION Act also opens the door for family members of those new Legion members, who are now eligible to join the Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and Legion Riders.
