The Delaware County Pheasants Forever Chapter recently made a generous donation to the Delaware County Conservation Board.
The Chapter donated $10,000 to help the Conservation Board purchase property at the Buffalo Creek Wildlife Area southwest of Ryan.
By acquiring this property, the Conservation Department is providing better access for the public at the Buffalo Creek Wildlife Area, which is used regularly by hunters and hikers.
A portion of the area will be planted with pollinator native grass mix. One of the planned improvements include a small public parking area.
Delaware County Conservation Board thanks their partners, Delaware County Pheasants Forever and the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, for making this project possible.
