JKPL: Banned Books Week

Join the James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville from September 22-28 for Banned Books Week! Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read and the importance of the First Amendment. Banned Books Week highlights the benefits of free and open access to information while drawing attention to the harms of censorship by spotlighting actual or attempted bannings of books across the United States. To celebrate, the library will have an interactive display, a Banned Book Matching Game, and a Name That Banned Book Guessing Jar. All who participate in the Matching Game and Guessing Jar will receive a themed bookmark and have their name entered into a drawing for a themed prize.
