The third week of the High School Football season in our KMCH Sports coverage area takes place tonight.
The West Delaware Hawks are 1-1 and will host their game in a row at Brown Field, welcoming in 0-2 Mount Vernon. All the pregame coverage around 7pm with Sports Director Jon Swisher’s weekly chat with Hawks head coach Doug Winkowitsch. Then the call around 7:30 with Jamie, Aaron and Bill on KMCH and kmch.com.
Six of our twelve teams enter the night unbeaten including the Western Dubuque Bobcats who are looking to start 3-0 for the third season in a row. The Bobcats will travel to Decorah to take on the 0-2 Vikings. This is our KMCH.com area game of the week with Roger Reed and Dan McClean, all the action around 7:20.
Ed-Co is 2-0 for the first time since 2007 and will host East Buchanan who is 2-0 for the 2nd straight season and looking to be 3-0 for the first time since 2007.
Monticello is 2-0 for first time since 2017 and looking for a 3-0 mark for first time since 2010. The Panthers are on the road in Bellevue to face the 0-2 Comets.
Independence is trying to get to 3-0 for second straight season as they will head south to Jackson County facing the 2-0 Maquoketa Cardinals.
North Linn was 3-0 to start last season and will try to do that again as they take on the Alburnett Pirates on the road.
