Dyersville Woman Dies from Injuries Sustained in Dubuque Crash

A Dyersville woman has died from injuries sustained in an accident in Dubuque last week.

69-year old Jean Kluesner had been involved in a two-vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in the area of Locust Street and the Locust Street Connector. Dubuque Police say Kluesner was turning south on to Locust Street from the Connector when she lost control and struck a sign post and a wall. After hitting the wall, the rear end of her vehicle also struck the front passenger door of an SUV.

The other driver, 32-year old Tyler Gotto of Farley, was not injured in the crash. Kluesner suffered serious injuries in the crash and had been transported to Mercy Hospital and then transferred to Iowa City.

Kluesner died Sunday at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Her funeral will be held Friday morning at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville.

The accident remains under investigation.
