Maquoketa Valley Celebrating Homecoming

Maquoketa Valley is celebrating Homecoming this week.

The Homecoming Parade will be held at 2 pm today – with a change to the route due to street construction on 4th Street. This year’s route starts at the high school in Delhi, heads east on South Street for two blocks, north on Lake Street for two blocks, west on Market Street for three blocks, south on 3rd Street for two blocks and then east on South Street back to the school.

After the parade, there will be a pep rally and the crowning of the Homecoming King. This year’s candidates are Morgan Hermanson, Chad Neuzil, Carter Stahlberg and Matthew Hucker.

The crowning of the Homecoming Queen will take place at the halftime of tonigh’s varsity football game against MFL. This year’s queen candidates are Shelby March, Emma Hill, Brooke Elgin and Allie Knipper.

Maquoketa Valley’s Homecoming week will wrap up with the Homecoming Dance on Saturday night.
