Early Voting Begins for November 5th City and School Elections

Early voting kicked off Monday for the upcoming November election.

This year’s election on November 5th will be different than usual because it will combine both city elections and school board elections. Delaware County Auditor Carla Becker says it was a decision made by the Iowa Legislature.

If you’re not sure where your general election precinct is, you can find out where you need to go to vote on the county’s website – you can also click on this link: Precinct Polling Places. But if you’d rather not wait until Election Day, you can vote now. Becker says Delaware County voters who would like to cast their vote early can do so by mail or in person at the Delaware County Auditor’s Office.

The polls will be open Tuesday, November 5th from 7 am to 8 pm. You can find a listing of the candidates in Delaware County’s city and school board elections under the Local News section on kmch.com. You can also click on these links: City Election Candidates and School Board Election Candidates.
