The City of Dyersville is planning a sidewalk project along Highway 136 at the railroad crossing.
The project will consists of constructing a six-foot sidewalk on the east side of Highway 136 from 2nd Avenue to Beltline Road East, providing a pedestrian crossing over the railroad tracks and tying in the town’s existing pedestrian trails to the Heritage Trail.
The estimated cost of the project is 137-thousand dollars. That doesn’t include the cost of work that will need to be done within the railroad tracks – that portion will be completed by the railroad, who will send a bill to the City.
Bids for the project are due October 29th, with a goal to have the project done by June 30th, 2020.
