It was a special 100th birthday for Mildrid Fritz. Not only was she joined by her family and friends at the Good Neighbor Home on Saturday to celebrate her birthday, but she was also presented with a “Quilt of Valor”. Mildred was a nurse in the Army during World War II, and her daughter Jeannette Wickman says the idea of presenting Mildred with her quilt during her birthday party allowed more family members to be present:

Quilts of Valor are given to any Veteran, no matter when the served. Applications are available at the Manchester American Legion Post 45 and here at the KMCH studio.
