Maquoketa Valley has decided on a start date for next school year. Superintendent Doug Tuetken says a public hearing was held Monday night, with a consensus to keep the schedule similar to this year.
The Maquoketa Valley School Board also talked about enrollment at their meeting Monday night, with certified numbers showing less students than last year.
A couple of staff changes were approved this week – Erika Imler employed as Prom Sponsor and Ali Sheehy’s resignation as Assistant Softball Coach. And Tuetken says they ended the school board meeting on a good note, acknowledging the positive comments the Maquoketa Valley School District received from MFL parents and fans after MV’s Homecoming football game a few weeks ago.
The board will meet in Earlville next month.
