Farley will be the site of a Future Ready Iowa summit tomorrow.
The summit is an opportunity for employers to learn how to leverage Future Ready Iowa to help grow their skilled workforce, as well as learn more about work-based learning and partnerships with local high schools. And they can hear from their peers about the innovative ways they are growing their workforce.
Iowa Workforce Development Director Beth Townsend leads these summits that are held around the state. She was in Manchester for one of the summits earlier this month and told KMCH it’s all about trying to reach the governor’s goal for Future Ready Iowa.
The Future Ready Iowa summit lasts about two hours and it’s free to attend. Tomorrow’s event runs from 7:30 to 9:30 am at the Milestone Event Center (the former Palace Ballroom) in Farley, with registration at 7 am.
