The Delaware County Food Bank could use some donations as we head into the holidays.
Coordinator Doug Robbins says around 350 people use the local food pantry in Manchester every month – and it’s a big help.
Donations are always needed, but especially this time of year as the Food Bank prepares to put together hundreds of Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for local families who may not otherwise get to enjoy a holiday meal.
Canned soups are a big need right now, along with monetary donations. You can drop off your donations Mondays and Thursday between 11:30 and 2:30 at the Delaware County Food Bank, which is located in the lower level of Roses in the Snow (just use the back alley door). Or you can mail your monetary donation to the Food Bank at PO Box 467 in Manchester.
And a huge thank you to all of you who helped provide donations through our Delaware County Food Bank fundraiser on Friday – thanks to you, we were able to donate over 100 bags of food and over $2,250 to the local food pantry.
