Nearly a dozen local non-profits have been awarded grant from the Dyersville Area Community Foundation.
The grants are supported by donations made to the Foundation’s endowment fund, which distributed around 14-thousand dollars during this grant cycle.
The non-profits received anywhere from nearly five hundred dollars to three thousand dollars for various projects. The grant recipients include Beckman Catholic School for gym doors, James Kennedy Public Library for teen space at the library, City of Farley for Farley Municipal Building security equipment, City of Worthington for ballpark restrooms, Dyersville Fire Department for aerial safety, Dyersville Health Foundation for a CT scanner for MercyOne, Dyersville Industries for public bike racks in the new riverfront landing and city square, Farley Volunteer Fire Department for fire nozzles, Hills and Dales Child Development Center for AutismHD Clinic supplies, Seton Catholic School for securing their future and St. Francis Xavier School for science equipment upgrades.
Along with supporting these local non-profits with grants, the Dyersville Area Community Foundation has adopted several special projects, including the Dyersville Campaign for Grade-Level Reading.
