New numbers show that Delaware County has one of the largest 4-H programs in the state.
Enrollment climbed to 427 members this year – that’s up from 405 members last year. And it’s the fourth highest 4-H membership in Iowa, right behind Polk, Woodbury and Story counties.
Delaware County has sixteen 4-H clubs, with the Delaware Hustlers the largest club at 48 members.
Delaware County Youth Coordinator Kenzie Griffin gives credit to all the 4-H volunteers for helping to grow enrollment. The County’s 70th Annual 4-H Volunteer Appreciation Banquet will be held this Sunday night at Country Junction in Dyersville.
