The Good Neighbor Society is working on construction of their new Rehab to Home addition at their Manchester campus.
Community Development Director Jessie Tibbott says it’s a big project that was definitely needed.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held in October. The new rehab center is an expansion on the north end of the Good Neighbor Home. Tibbott says it will feature thirteen new rooms, private treatment rooms, private dining and a private entrance – as well as lots of new equipment to help people get back on their feet.
Diane Hammel, co-chair of the project, says they started a capital campaign to help pay for the project, with over half of their goal already met.
And Hammel says monetary gifts of any size are welcome.
The Good Neighbor Society hopes to have the new Rehab to Home expansion completed by next fall. You can follow along with the construction progress on their Facebook page or check out their YouTube channel. Calls or visits are also welcome.
