Casey’s General Store celebrated their grand opening at their new Manchester location on Friday.
The store officially opened December 19th on the far west end of town in the new subdivision at the interchange of Highway 20 and Highway 13.
Area Supervisor Blaine Miller says the old Casey’s store on West Main Street was landlocked, so there wasn’t much room for growth. This new location gave them more space – plus it was in a prime spot right off the busy highway, allowing them the opportunity to become a truckstop.
And the new Casey’s truckstop offers much more inside the store than the old location.
And the store is open 24/7, with the exception of Christmas Eve into Christmas morning. Miller says the staff has also doubled, with everyone from the old location transferring to the new store. And they’ve been keeping busy since the store opened three weeks ago, with lots of specials and chances to win prizes during the grand opening this past Friday.
The old Casey’s location closed on December 18th. Miller says the company usually waits about a year before selling an old store, so no plans for the old Casey’s on West Main have been announced yet.
