Area meetings today…
The Delaware County Board of Supervisors meet at 1:15 pm. The Board will consider a resolution supporting the creation of the statistical boundaries of the Mississippi River Ports of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois.
The Manchester City Council meets tonight at 5 pm. The Council will consider a resolution approving and adopting preliminary plans for the East Main Street Improvement Project. They’ll also discuss the University of Iowa’s Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities program, in which Manchester has been chosen to be part of.
The West Delaware School Board meets tonight at 6 pm. The Board will consider approving the Affirmative Action Plan and discuss progress. The Board will also set a public hearing date on the school calendar for next school year and consider approving nine early graduation requests.
The Cascade City Council meets at 6 pm. The Council will consider a resolution approving a cooperation agreement between the United States of America and the City of Cascade for rehabilitation on non-federal flood control work. They’ll also discuss a formal catalyst grant for the Corner Tap Room and Brewery project.
And the Edgewood City Council meets tonight at 7 pm. The Council plans to set a public hearing date on the Fiscal Year 2021 Proposed Property Tax Levy. They’ll also consider an ordinance vacating a portion of the alley in Block Three in Yankee Settlement, possibly waiving the third reading. And they’ll discuss the voluntary security camera registration.
