Cascade Plans to Renovate Downtown Building into Brewery

Cascade is hoping to bring its first brewery to town.

On Monday night, the Cascade City Council gave the go-ahead to apply for a grant for the Corner Tap Room and Brewery Project. The project would involve renovating the Corner Tap building from apartments on the upper level to a new brewery on the ground floor.

The Community Catalyst Remediation Grant is for 100-thousand dollars. It would assist the owner of the building with his project.

Cascade has received this grant twice before for the Old Bank Building Project and Cheryl’s Flour Garden and Bakery.

They’ll find out if they received the grant in late July. The City says they plan to move forward with the Corner Tap Room and Brewery Project with or without the grant.
