HS Wrestling: West Delaware Set For Top Two Match-Up

The top ranked West Delaware wrestling team will head to Tama tonight to take on South Tama and 2nd ranked Williamsburg in WaMaC double dual. The Hawks enter with a 13-2 dual meet record and ranked #1 in the first IWCOA rankings, and like many teams around the state have had their last two tournaments canceled due to weather. They will face Williamsburg who was ranked tied for 2nd with Independence in the latest rankings but have since lost in a dual with the Mustangs and have a 26-2 dual record. In their final dual of the night the Hawks will take on the host Trojans who enter with a 9-5 record. Even with missing the great competition they would have faced the last two Saturdays, West Delaware head coach Jeff Voss says with tonight’s duals along with the other meets they have coming up they will have plenty of quality opponents to prepare the team for the post season:

Roger Reed will be live with hold-by-hold coverage from South Tama starting at 6:00.
